Free Job Board for Web Designers
Published September 24th, 2007 in Articles and Web Design. 7 Comments
I just found a new job board that is specifically for web designers. From there site, PostaPosition.net: is a Free web & graphic design job board. What I like is the fact that it is free to post job listings, other sites I have seen charge around $100 - $200 for one listing. This seems like a good idea for outsourcing some of your projects or extra workload if you have the need too. Sort of like Craigslist but just for web designers. I think it’s more effective than CL because you can sort the listings by design, development and flash so everyone can cut straight to what you are looking for. Your job listing will be posted for 30 days and will show up immediately after you submit it.

Most of these icon sets are under the creative commons license and some sites just don’t care, but make sure you find out the terms of use before you use them.
This question has an incredibly simple answer; however, people seem to ask us this all the time. Do you need a website? Yes. It’s that simple. If you have a business, a product, even an opinion in some cases, then you need a website.
According to Internet Marketing Research firms, the number of online consumers is expected to grow at a rate of 20 to 50 percent over the next few years. This should be enough to convince you that you need a website. Whether you have a tangible product or you’re selling a service, a website is a key marketing tool.

Ever wonder what color scheme someone used on a site, well with the ColorZilla extension for Firefox you can find out. It gives you the ability to drag crosshairs around and get the hexadecimal and RGB color code for anything on the screen. If what you are looking at is to small, don’t worry it has a built in zoom feature that goes up to 1,000%.
Everyone has noticed the huge amount of open source CMS’s available right now. My question is what about Flash? Doesn’t it get an open source CMS? I have been thinking about going to work on one with our team, but want to test the interest users like you would have in something like this. Leave a comment and let us know how you feel about it.
